Meet Our Speech Pathologist Lara Moriarty
Lara Moriarty is a dedicated Speech Pathologist who grew up in Orange and moved to Newcastle to study at the University of Newcastle. Her early interest in allied health and her passion for helping others led her to choose speech pathology – a field where she can make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
Lara is driven by a firm belief in the power of effective communication. She loves that her work enables children to connect with the important people in their lives. Passionate about paediatric speech pathology, Lara works closely with her clients, ensuring every session is tailored, engaging, and enjoyable.
Her approach is centred on building strong rapport with both children and their families, creating a warm and supportive environment where everyone feels valued. By making her sessions fun and interactive, Lara strives to empower her clients to communicate confidently, making a lasting impact on their overall development.
Speech Pathology is such a rewarding and fulfilling career. I love being able to support the communication and feeding needs of clients and helping them to achieve their goals in a fun and play-based way.
The team at A Growing Understanding is very supportive and friendly! I always feel so welcome when I walk into the Centre each day. Each team member always looks out for one another.
