Kids Group Programs

A Growing Understanding Speech Pathology offers fun and engaging interest-based Kids Group Programs that run at various times throughout the year and during the school holidays.

We want all children to feel comfortable in the way they communicate and express their needs. Through interest and play-based opportunities, children can practice their communication skills and continue to grow their confidence in self-advocating and expression.

Our Kids Group Programs are based on children’s interests and adopt fun and interactive activities to enable us to support children in their individual exploration of self and continue to work on their speech therapy goals.

Our team of qualified speech pathologists, together with other professionals (including Occupational Therapists for some groups), ensure all programs:

• Provide additional support to help your child build communication skills
• Enable the exploration of interests and provide opportunities for children to self-advocate
• Encourage peer support and connection
• Provide opportunities to practice various speech, language and communication skills within ‘real world’ situations
• Offer an opportunity for your child to learn from other children and even take on a leadership role
