Pokemon Card and Character Fun!

Pokemon Pals combines the fun trading card game kids love with crafty creations to help your child explore their interest and communication style.

Through engaging craft activities, Pokemon character creation and discussion, your child will have a chance to connect with like-minded peers, and discover new ways of thinking and communicating.

This program is NDIS approved and with the support of experienced speech pathologists, will help your child practice the following skills:

  • Expressive and receptive language skills – sequencing, problem solving (drawing your own conclusion based on information), following complex instructions
  • Discuss differing opinions and emotions, connect with other kids and communicate shared interests
  • Develop and use self advocacy skills such as:
    • requesting an item or activity
    • communicating a need
    • requesting help
    • making a choice
    • problem-solving
    • expressing opinions
    • describing their boundaries
    • asserting themselves

Pokemon Pals is suitable for school-aged children, and offers fun, hands-on Pokemon-inspired experiences that are sure to delight and surprise.

Children in attendance are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and can bring a snack and their own water bottle.

Please note all group programs align with our COVID-19 Safety Plan and ensure the health and wellbeing of all attendees.

This group will be limited to a maximum of eight (8) children and two staff members. All attendees are required to follow our safety measures.

Pokemon Pals will run at our Lake Macquarie Centre on the following dates:

Each session will be held at our Lake Macquarie Centre:

Cost Range: $160 – $180 per client, per session

Based on NDIS guidelines and our service model, this range reflects factors such as group size (up to four clients per clinician), the inclusion of indirect time (planning and progress notes), and any applicable venue or entrance fees. Each group’s exact fee will be calculated according to the number of clients, clinicians, and the session’s duration.
