Festive Food Fun

Fun exploration of new and exciting foods.

Tasting, Touching, and Talking About New Foods

There are lots of new things for your child to explore at Christmas time, especially new foods. So much of what we eat during the festive season can be unusual for fussy eaters. This interactive group will encourage your fussy eater to explore these unusual festive foods in a fun and positive way.

Through language, and food exploration your child will have an opportunity to see, touch, smell and taste festive food with other children of a similar age.

This program is NDIS approved and will help your child develop the following skills:

  • Vocabulary around food and the festive season
  • Positive experiences with new and unusual foods
  • Positive behaviours associated with mealtime and social gatherings
  • Understanding of healthy food and how it helps the body

Festive Food Fun is ideal for pre-schoolers (3 – 5 years) and will help them explore so many new and wonderful foods that we enjoy at Christmas time.

Please ensure you advise of any food allergies when making enquiries regarding these programs as children will be encouraged to touch and explore different foods.

Please note all group programs align with our COVID-19 Safety Plan and ensure the health and wellbeing of all attendees and staff members.

This group will be limited to a maximum of eight (8) children and two staff members to ensure adequate space for social distancing. All attendees are required to follow our safety measures.

We will also provide a non face-to-face alternative for those who may be unwell or have been exposed to an active case of COVID-19 following their booking.
