Roll the Dice, Build Your Story, Find Your Voice!
Embark on an epic communication adventure with Dungeons & Dragons: Speech & Story Quest – a full-day, speech pathology-led group program designed for young people aged 10 to 16 years.
Using the power of storytelling and collaborative gameplay, this unique experience helps participants build communication, problem-solving, and social confidence skills – all within the imaginative world of Dungeons & Dragons.
Co-facilitated by Hayden (Dungeon Master) and one of our experienced Speech Pathologists, the program blends authentic gameplay with intentional communication support and goal-based intervention. Together, they’ll guide participants through quests that challenge their creativity, encourage teamwork, and inspire self-expression.
This program is NDIS approved and with the support of experienced speech pathologists, will help your child practice the following skills:
- Expressive and receptive language skills – describing, sequencing, and following multi-step instructions.
- Narrative and storytelling skills – building characters, developing storylines, and sharing creative ideas.
- Social communication and collaboration – turn-taking, active listening, and group interaction.
- Problem-solving and flexible thinking – working as a team to overcome challenges and adapt strategies.
- Self-advocacy and confidence – expressing opinions, negotiating with peers, and communicating needs.
- Creativity and perspective-taking – exploring different roles, emotions, and points of view through play.
Through imaginative storytelling and reflection, participants will strengthen their communication skills and confidence, all while connecting with like-minded peers and having fun in a safe, inclusive environment.
