Christmas Communicators

Christmas fun to grow communication and language skills.

Create, Connect, and Celebrate the Joy of Communication!

Celebrate the festive season with creativity, connection, and communication in our Christmas Communicators group! This special three-hour program brings together craft, cookie decorating, music, movement, and story time to help children explore their creativity and strengthen key communication skills, all while having a joyful holiday experience.

With guidance from our experienced speech pathologists, children will engage in hands-on, festive-themed activities that encourage conversation, confidence, and collaboration. Through play, laughter, and shared experiences, they’ll discover new ways to express themselves and connect with others.

This program is NDIS approved and will help your child develop the following skills:

  • Expressive and receptive language skills – sequencing, problem-solving, and following multi-step instructions.
  • Social and emotional skills – discussing opinions, recognising emotions, and sharing interests.
  • Self-advocacy skills – requesting help, expressing needs, making choices, and asserting boundaries.
  • Creativity and seasonal language – exploring festive vocabulary through art, stories, and play.
  • Fine motor and sensory skills – through craft and cookie-decorating activities.
  • Listening and literacy skills – building attention, comprehension, and storytelling confidence.

Whether your child loves crafting, baking, or festive fun, Christmas Communicators is a wonderful way to celebrate the season while developing essential communication skills in a warm, supportive environment.

Christmas Communicators is suitable for children aged 4–7 years and 5–8 years, with activities tailored to each age group.

This extended three-hour group offers a mix of engaging, hands-on experiences designed to delight and inspire. Children will participate in craft activities, cookie decorating, book reading, and music and movement sessions that encourage creative expression and connection.

Children are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and should bring a water bottle and snack for break time.

Please note that all group programs align with our COVID-19 Safety Plan to ensure the health and wellbeing of all attendees.

This group is limited to a maximum of eight (8) children and two (2) staff members.
