The Learn and Grow Training Program is a joint venture between A Growing Understanding and it’s sister company, Let’s Grow Together.

This program has been specifically designed to empower educators with essential skills and knowledge to support speech and language development in children.

By bridging the gap between language skills and literacy, this program equips educators with strategies to identify and address speech and language difficulties effectively within the classroom setting.

This full-day event is an exciting opportunity to start 2025 with a strengthened understanding of and relationship with speech pathology, enhancing your ability to support your students effectively.

The Learn and Grow Training Program was developed by Melissa Roberts, whose combined expertise as a Speech Pathologist and Special Education Teacher provides her with unique insights. Her dual background enables her to foster effective collaboration and achieve impactful outcomes in both speech pathology and educational settings.

Participants in the full-day Learn and Grow Training Program will gain an understanding of:

  • How language development impacts literacy and overall academic success.
  • How to identify speech and language difficulties early, ensuring timely intervention.
  • How to use questionnaires to collect essential data that informs strategies and referral processes.
  • How to make accurate, detailed speech pathology referrals​ enhancing the support your students receive.
  • How to improve information sharing and collaboration among your educational team.

Resources for Immediate Implementation

Every participant will receive a set of practical handouts and have the option to purchase quality resources designed to support the implementation of learned strategies in the classroom. These tools are tailored to facilitate ongoing development and effective intervention, helping you make a tangible difference in your students’ educational experiences.

The next event will be held at The Place, Charlestown

The cost to attend and gain access to the comprehensive resources is $229.00 inc GST and booking fees.

The workshop is fully catered and your ticket price includes all refreshments and learning materials.

You will receive morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea as well as tea and coffee on arrival, and water throughout each day. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking your ticket.
