Meet Our Speech Pathologist Dimity Horton
Dimity is an experienced, enthusiastic speech pathologist who is passionate about developing children’s communication skills.
After graduating from the University of Newcastle, Dimity enjoyed a diverse career working with clients across multiple settings including government services, not for profit organisations and early intervention services.
Dimity has extensive experience in the assessment and intervention of children with a range of speech and language needs including supporting neurodivergent children, stuttering, speech sound difficulties, physical and learning disabilities and language difficulties.
Dimity adopts a family-centred therapy approach and strives to keep her therapy sessions engaging and fun. She is trained in a range of therapy approaches that are designed to help both children and parents grow. These include Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), PROMPT, Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, Hanen More Than Words, Sounds Write, and SOS Approach to feeding management.
